A80 Active Speaker
The A80 brings AIRPULSE to the plug and play Hi-Fi market. Designed to appeal to a younger audience with ease of use, multiple connections, and maximum functionality. The system is active and does not require an external amplifier. This beautiful speaker in walnut finish boasts advanced Hi-fi components at an affordable price.
Horn Loaded Ribbon Tweeter Speaker
Continuing the flagship tradition of the 7001 speakers with a near-field monitor.
The thin aluminum ribbon tweeter has high sensitivity, excellent transient response, wide frequency range, and well-defined resolution, perfect for any music genre.
The horn shape produces high and smooth frequencies with the help of the ribbon tweeter, directing them towards the listeners and minimizing unwanted room effects.
The result is a full, three-dimensional sound with each detail well-defined and clearly heard.
4.5-Inch Aluminum Cone Woofer with Shielded Magnet
The 4.5-inch mid-woofer features an aluminum alloy cone with a hard anodized finish suspended in a heavy and rigid magnesium alloy frame.
The aluminum alloy cone is designed through a meticulous process analyzing different geometries using a laser Doppler interferometer.
The 35mm voice coil is larger than most speakers in this size range. Larger voice coils have less power compression as they operate at a cooler operating temperature.
Acoustically, this means a more dynamically realistic representation of the music, providing emotion and excitement.
The cooler operating temperature of the voice coil also has the side benefit of a more reliable speaker as a cooler voice coil reduces the chances of speaker failures.
Full Digital Amplifier
The power amplification section is built with 2 parts of TAS5754 Class-D amplifiers from Texas Instruments.
This component is part of the Class-D amplifiers in the market, combining support for high input sampling rate and high PWM carrier frequency.
These two features are essential for achieving low background noise and distortion. Support for sampling rates up to 192 KHz ensures all digital processing without any change in the sampling rate signal.
The PWM frequency is 768 KHz, double the typical 384 KHz found in traditional Class-D amplifiers, and is more suitable for driving the sensitive RIBBON TWEETER.
One TAS5754 is connected in BRIDGE mode to the woofer of the left and right channels,
while the second amplifier is connected in BRIDGE mode to the RIBBON TWEETER in the left and right channels.
