Thermal Grizzly AM5 Contact & Sealing Frame
Thermal Grizzly’s AM5 clamping and sealing frame combines a contact frame with CPU-Guard protection and is designed especially for AMD Ryzen 7000 processors to improve contact, sealing, and protection.
As a clamping frame (contact frame), the solution creates uniform, optimal pressure of the processor into the socket. In addition, the silicone pad included in the kit serves as a protective layer around the processor and helps prevent cooling compounds from penetrating sensitive areas.

Internal design for uniform, controlled pressure
The internal geometry is precisely matched to the AM5 frame and creates multiple contact points with the heat spreader (IHS)—more than the standard SAM frame on the motherboard.
This configuration distributes the clamping force evenly across the entire processor surface, helping prevent warping or localized overloading.
When the pressure is uniform, the IHS rests flat on the socket pins, which contributes to system stability and may reduce issues such as memory not being detected.

Foamed silicone insert for improved sealing and protection
The kit includes an innovative foamed silicone insert that is adhered to the processor’s PCB, similar to the AMD Ryzen 7000 CPU Guard.
When the frame is tightened, the foamed silicone closes the gap between the IHS and the aluminum frame, creating an effective mechanical barrier around the exposed components on the PCB.
This prevents thermal paste or liquid metal from seeping into sensitive areas. The insert is recommended with standard thermal pastes and is essential when using liquid metal.

Intuitive installation, clear markings, and full compatibility
For user convenience, the frame carries a clear marking on its top side. Due to the protrusion on the socket’s “north” side, assembly is possible in only one orientation, preventing alignment errors.
The kit includes four screws for quick and secure fastening of the frame. The frame is compatible with Thermal Grizzly backplates for AM5, enabling seamless integration with existing cooling solutions.
