The Core Ultra 5 250KF Plus is a desktop processor from the Intel Core Ultra Series 2 family, intended for LGA1851 systems with a dedicated graphics card. It offers a hybrid architecture of Performance and Efficient cores together with a dedicated AI engine, as a balanced option for building a modern PC and working in parallel.

Processor & cores

The chip features 18 cores and 18 threads in total: six Performance cores for heavy tasks and twelve Efficient cores for background and parallel work. Base clock is 4.2GHz for the Performance cores and 3.3GHz for the Efficient cores, while Max Turbo reaches up to 5.30GHz. Intel Thread Director helps the system route workloads to the most suitable cores.

Performance & clocks

The processor includes an Intel AI Boost NPU for supported AI workloads, with NPU performance up to 13 TOPS and combined performance up to 22 TOPS, and supports environments such as OpenVINO, WindowsML, DirectML, ONNX RT and WebNN. It carries 30MB of Intel Smart Cache and 30MB total L2 cache. Processor Base Power is 125W and Maximum Turbo Power is 159W. Worth noting: this is a KF part with no integrated graphics output, so a dedicated graphics card is required for display.

Platform & compatibility

The processor is compatible with FCLGA1851 motherboards and Intel 800 Series chipsets such as Z890, B860 and H810. It supports DDR5 memory up to 256GB and memory speeds up to DDR5 7200 MT/s, plus PCI Express 5.0 and 4.0 with up to 24 lanes. The Tray version is meant for integration into systems and building compatible desktop PCs.
