The X870M AORUS ELITE WiFi7 ICE is a light-toned Micro ATX board on the AMD X870 chipset, built for AMD Ryzen 9000, 8000 and 7000 series processors on the AM5 socket. It packs strong power delivery and advanced gaming features into a compact form factor.

Platform & chipset

The board is built on the X870 chipset with the AM5 socket and supports the current Ryzen processor family, with an X3D Turbo Mode intended to unlock extra gaming performance. A twin digital 14+2+2 phase power arrangement gives a stable voltage base, and the EZ-Latch mechanism eases screwless installation of the PCIe and M.2 slots.

Memory & expansion

Four dual-channel DIMM slots take DDR5 memory with AMD EXPO support and overclocking up to 8200MT/s, combined with D5 Bionic Corsa technology for memory performance. Storage uses two M.2 slots, including one on PCIe 5.0 x4, while the graphics card gets a reinforced PCIe UD slot.

Power, cooling & connectivity

Connectivity is led by 2.5GbE wired LAN alongside Wi-Fi 7 wireless, plus a pair of USB4 Type-C ports with DP-Alt support and an HDMI output. The thermal layout includes VRM Thermal Armor Advanced and an M.2 Thermal Guard, and an onboard video port with Sensor Panel Link simplifies setting up a panel inside the chassis.
