The AMD Ryzen 7 5700 is an eight-core AM4 processor built on the mature, power-efficient Zen 3 architecture. It delivers a great mix of gaming and multitasking performance, and makes a meaningful upgrade for existing AM4 systems without changing the motherboard or memory. A Wraith Stealth cooler is included in the box.

Cores & performance

The processor packs eight cores and 16 threads with a 3.7GHz base clock and up to 4.6GHz boost. Zen 3 brings a sizeable per-core uplift over the previous generation, which shows up as higher frame rates in games and snappier work in editing, compilation and running several applications at once.

With a 65W TDP it stays relatively cool and quiet and can be handled by standard air coolers.

Platform & compatibility
