Intel Laminar RM2 CPU Cooler

The Intel Laminar RM2 is the original CPU fan and heatsink assembly for Intel Core Ultra Series 2 processors on the LGA1851 socket. The heatsink pairs a copper core with aluminium fins, while the fan connects through a 4-pin PWM interface that lets speed follow the current load. It is a standard, compact and easy-to-fit air cooling solution for everyday desktop systems.

Cooling

The copper core sits directly against the processor lid and moves heat quickly into the aluminium fin stack, where it is released into the airflow. The combination delivers steady heat removal under normal workloads and keeps operating temperatures in a healthy range over time.

Fan & acoustics

The fan runs on 12V and plugs into the 4-pin header on the motherboard. PWM support lets the board drop the rotation speed at idle and raise it only when the processor comes under load, so noise stays moderate for most of the working day.

Installation & compatibility

The low profile and round footprint make the cooler easy to fit even in narrower cases, leaving reasonable clearance around the socket for memory and board components. Mounting uses Intel's standard push-pin retention, with no special tools required.
