| Revew | D-Link DSR-500AC Wireless AC Business RouterThe D-Link DSR-500AC from the Unified Services Router series is built for small and medium-sized businesses and combines a firewall, a VPN server and an 802.11ac wireless access point in one device. The wireless network runs on a selectable 2.4GHz or 5GHz band with two detachable antennas. The router has two Gigabit WAN ports for load balancing and Internet failover and four Gigabit LAN ports. A 3G or 4G USB modem can be connected as a backup link, and the second WAN port can be configured as a DMZ.
Key features- 802.11ac Wi-Fi - Selectable dual band (2.4GHz or 5GHz) rated AC1200, two detachable 2dBi antennas, multiple SSIDs with SSID-to-VLAN mapping, WPA2 encryption and IEEE 802.1X RADIUS authentication.
- Full VPN for branches and remote staff - Up to 110 VPN tunnels over IPSec, PPTP/L2TP, GRE, SSL and OpenVPN, DES, 3DES, AES, Twofish, Blowfish and CAST-128 encryption and hub-and-spoke topology.
- Dual WAN and mobile backup - Outbound load balancing and automatic failover between Internet links, plus extra redundancy through a 3G or 4G USB modem.
- Captive Portal authentication - A customizable landing page authenticates employees and guests against a local database, RADIUS, LDAP, Active Directory, NT Domain or POP3.
- Content filtering and application control - Static filtering by URL and keyword and removal of Java, ActiveX and cookies. Dynamic category filtering and application control are available with a separate license, and an IPS signature package is included in the firmware.
- Advanced management and routing - Web interface, command line and SNMP v1/v2c/v3, static and dynamic routing (RIP, OSPF, OSPFv3), IPv6 support and IEEE 802.1Q VLANs.
