KIOXIA CD8P‑R drives are specifically designed for read‑intensive data center environments and are optimized for Scale‑Out deployments and modern cloud services. They are suitable for a wide range of applications such as Big Data and IoT, online transaction processing (OLTP) systems, virtualization, and more — with an emphasis on performance consistency and low latency.

Using a PCIe 5.0 interface in an x4 configuration (32 GT/s), the drives deliver particularly impressive stable performance: up to approximately 2,000K IOPS in random reads and approximately 200K IOPS in random writes, to easily handle high parallel workloads and stringent service requirements.

Compared to the previous generation — PCIe 4.0 drives in the KIOXIA CD8‑R series — there is an improvement of about 60% to 80% in sequential read speed. This means shorter data access times, faster data transfer, and better throughput in multi‑core systems and micro‑services‑based services.
