SilverStone FS204-US 4x U.2 Drive Cage in a 5.25" Bay

The SilverStone FS204-US is a drive cage that lets you install up to four U.2 drives in the SFF-8639 standard inside a single 5.25-inch device bay. Built from quality steel, it is designed to add fast storage capacity to desktops and servers in an orderly and secure way.

Capacity & interface

The cage houses four 2.5-inch U.2 drives and is fitted with a backplane carrying four SlimSAS 4i interfaces in the SFF-8654 standard. Connectivity supports PCIe 3.0/4.0 x4 and can reach transfer rates of 32Gbps and 64Gbps, depending on the PCIe generation and the installed drive.

Speed

Hot-Swap support allows drives to be added and replaced without powering down the system, an important convenience in always-on environments. Dedicated LED indicators show the operating status of each drive, so activity can be tracked at a glance.

Form factor & use

Installation takes place in a standard 5.25-inch bay, and the cage includes an individual metal lock for each tray to improve security. Two 40 mm fans are included for efficient drive cooling, and the structure supports 2.5-inch drives up to 15 mm thick.
