The St-Lab S-380 is a pocket-size enclosure for an M.2 NVMe SSD that turns an internal drive into a fast external one. It is built on the Realtek RTL9210 controller and connects over a USB 3.2 Gen 2 USB-C port with up to 10Gbps of bandwidth.

It suits anyone who upgraded a laptop SSD and wants to reuse the old drive for backups, photographers and video editors moving large files, and anyone who needs fast storage in a pocket. The enclosure takes 2230, 2242, 2260 and 2280 drives and needs no drivers.

The aluminum housing acts as an integrated heatsink that pulls heat away from the SSD, keeping performance stable during long transfers. At 103.5 x 28 x 12 mm it slips into a pocket or laptop bag, and the box includes a USB-C to USB-C cable, a USB-A to USB-C cable and a thermal pad.
