CHENBRO SK31101 1-Bay 3.5" SAS/SATA 12Gb/s Hot-Swap Enclosure, Black

The Chenbro SK31101 is a storage kit that installs in a 5.25" bay of the case and turns it into one hot-swap bay for a 3.5" drive. The drive sits in a removable tray, so it can be pulled out and replaced without opening the case. This version has a passive 12Gb/s SAS/SATA backplane with an SFF-8680 connector to the drive and a 7-pin SATA connector to the controller.

The tray has drive status and activity LEDs and a key lock for drive security, and the top opening lets the system fans cool the drive. The kit supports inrush current control for hot-swapping and an HDD failure signal input from a RAID or expander card. It measures 171 x 146 x 43 mm and weighs 0.5 kg.
