The St-Lab U-960 is a USB 3.0 to SATA 6G adapter that connects any SATA storage device to a USB 3.0 or USB 2.0 port of a laptop, desktop or server. The drive plugs straight into the adapter's SATA connector, with no enclosure and no disassembly.

It is based on the ASMedia ASM1153E controller, supports 2.5 and 3.5 inch hard drives and SSDs as well as SATA optical drives, and works plug and play with no driver installation.
