Adapter Akitio T3-2DP Thunderbolt 3 to 2xDP 1.2 TB32DP00-001

Akitio T3-2DP Thunderbolt 3 to 2xDP 1.2

The Akitio T3-2DP is a compact adapter that adds two DisplayPort 1.2 outputs to a computer with a Thunderbolt 3 port. It lets you extend your desktop to two 4K monitors at 60Hz, or connect a single 5K monitor at 60Hz, for a much larger workspace.

The adapter has a built-in Thunderbolt 3 (USB-C) cable of about 20 cm and draws its power from the computer, so no separate power supply is required. The aluminum case helps dissipate heat, and the small size makes it a good companion for notebooks. It works with Windows 10 (64-bit) and macOS 10.12 or later on computers with a Thunderbolt 3 port.

Key features

• Two 4K monitors or one 5K - Two DisplayPort 1.2 outputs support two 4K displays at 60Hz or a single 5K display at 60Hz. Some Thunderbolt 3 computers support only one 4K display, so check your computer's capabilities.
• Thunderbolt 3 at 40Gbps - The adapter connects through Thunderbolt 3 with up to 40Gbps of bandwidth, using a built-in cable of about 20 cm.
• No power supply needed - It is bus powered through the Thunderbolt 3 port, so it is easy to carry along with your notebook.
• Compact aluminum case - A high quality aluminum enclosure for efficient heat dissipation, measuring only 10.8 x 6 x 1.5 cm.
• Windows and macOS - Compatible with Windows 10 (64-bit) and macOS 10.12 or later on computers with a Thunderbolt 3 port.
• HDMI, DVI and VGA displays - Such monitors can be connected through an active DisplayPort adapter, sold separately. Passive adapters are not compatible.
