The St-Lab U-191 is an adapter cable that connects a modern computer with a USB port to a printer or device with an IEEE-1284 parallel interface. It has a USB-A male plug on one end and a 36-pin Centronics connector on the other, with a total length of 1.5 m.

The adapter is based on the Prolific PL2305 chip, complies with USB 1.1 and provides bi-directional communication at 1.216Mbps in ECP mode. It lets you keep using older printers and industrial equipment on computers without a parallel port.
