    St-Lab U-225 USB to Serial Cable

    The St-Lab U-225 is an adapter cable that adds an RS-232 serial port with a DB9 male connector through a standard USB port. It lets you connect modems, POS terminals, card readers and other serial devices to a desktop, notebook or Mac without opening the case to install an expansion card.

    The adapter is based on the Prolific PL2303GC chipset, transfers data at up to 230Kbps and draws power from the USB port, with no power supply or battery. IT professionals also use it widely for serial console access to servers when configuring, monitoring and troubleshooting.
