The CBL-SFF8087OCF-05M is a 0.5 m internal Multi-lane forward breakout cable. It connects the internal Mini SAS (SFF-8087) port of a RAID controller or HBA to four drives, or to four discrete SATA connectors on the enclosure backplane. The cable is listed in the official Broadcom (formerly LSI and 3ware) cable guide.

One cable carries four lanes, so a single controller port serves four drives, with fewer cables inside the case and better airflow. This is a forward cable: the SFF-8087 end goes to the controller and the SATA ends go to the drives.
