Vention mini DP 1.2 to HDMI 1.4 4K 3m Cable

The Vention HAHBI is a 3 m cable that connects a computer with a Mini DisplayPort output, or a Thunderbolt port with a Mini DP connector, to a monitor, TV or projector with an HDMI input. According to the manufacturer it suits the MacBook Air, MacBook Pro, iMac, Mac mini and Mac Pro, as well as other laptops and desktops with a Mini DP port.

A built-in TI149 converter chip turns the DisplayPort signal into HDMI at resolutions of up to 4K at 30Hz. The cable also carries audio, so no separate audio cable is needed. The connectors are gold-plated and the cable is shielded with aluminum foil and a metal braid.

Key features

• Mini DP to HDMI - The Mini DisplayPort male plug goes into the computer and the HDMI male plug into the monitor, TV or projector, with no extra adapter.
• 4K picture - The cable supports resolutions of up to 4K at 30Hz as well as Full HD, for watching movies, giving presentations and working on a large screen.
• Video and audio in one cable - Sound travels together with the picture from the computer to the TV or monitor, so no separate audio cable is needed.
• Built-in converter chip - The TI149 chip inside the cable converts the signal to HDMI reliably and prevents ghosting in the picture.
• Multi-layer shielding - Tinned copper conductors, aluminum foil, a metal braid and a ground wire protect the signal from interference, and a PVC jacket protects the cable.
• Gold-plated connectors - The gold plating resists corrosion and keeps good contact between the plug and the port.
