Vention HDMI to DP 4K/60Hz 2m Cable

The Vention HDMI to DP 4K/60Hz 2m is a 2 m converter cable with an HDMI-A male connector on one end and a DisplayPort male connector on the other. It is designed to connect an HDMI video source, such as a computer, laptop, set-top box or game console, to a monitor with a DisplayPort input.

The cable has a built-in converter chip powered through an extra USB-A connector. According to the manufacturer, it supports uncompressed resolutions of up to 4K@60Hz, 18Gbps bandwidth and refresh rates of up to 240Hz when the source supports them. Conversion works in one direction only, from HDMI to DisplayPort.

Key features

• HDMI to DisplayPort conversion - Connects an HDMI source to a DisplayPort monitor without an extra adapter. The cable works in one direction only and is not suitable for connecting a DisplayPort computer to an HDMI display.
• 4K@60Hz - A sharp picture at up to 4K@60Hz without compression, with 18Gbps bandwidth. For 4K, both the source and the monitor must support that resolution.
• Up to 240Hz refresh rate - According to the manufacturer, 240Hz is supported when the source has an HDMI 2.1 or newer HDMI 2.0 port, for smoother gaming.
• USB powered - The USB-A connector powers the converter chip in the cable. Plug it into a free USB port on the computer or source device.
• Picture and sound - The cable carries audio along with the video. Sound plays only if the monitor has built-in speakers.
• Wide compatibility - Works with computers, laptops, set-top boxes, PS5 and PS4, Xbox and Nintendo Switch as the source, and DisplayPort monitors as the display.
