Module Connections to the computer Panasonic Toughbook 55 VGA/Serial/LAN FZ-VCN552U

Panasonic Toughbook 55 VGA/Serial/LAN I/O Module for Laptop

The Panasonic FZ-VCN552U is an xPAK module for the Rear Expansion Slot of the TOUGHBOOK 55 rugged laptop. It adds a VGA port, a true serial port (True Serial) on a 9-pin D-sub connector and a second Gigabit LAN port.

The module is compatible with all TOUGHBOOK 55 models and can be fitted or swapped by the user. This lets the same laptop work with older projectors and monitors, field and industrial equipment with a serial interface and two networks at the same time.

Key features

• VGA for monitors and projectors - Direct connection to monitors, projectors and legacy systems that still use VGA, with no external adapter.
• True Serial port - A real RS-232 port on a 9-pin D-sub connector for field equipment, controllers, test instruments and industrial devices, with no USB to serial adapter.
• Second network port - An additional Gigabit LAN port lets the laptop connect to two networks at once, for example the corporate network and equipment in the field, or keeps the built-in network port free.
• User-installable in the rear slot - A user-replaceable xPAK for the rear expansion area of the TOUGHBOOK 55, mounting screws included.
