For Noctua coolers with 78mm mounting pitch
Kit NM-i17xx-MP78 is compatible with a wide range of Noctua CPU coolers that use a 78mm mounting pitch, while coolers with an 83mm mounting pitch require the MP83 version. Please refer to our detailed compatibility information to determine which kit is suitable for your cooler.
| Reliable SecuFirm2 quality
Over the years, SecuFirm2 has become a symbol of long-term stability and reliability without compromises. Enthusiasts and industry customers alike rely on the time-tested quality of Noctua's professional mounting systems. |
Perfect contact pressure
SecuFirm2 mounting systems use high-grade coil springs to achieve perfect contact pressure. There's no need to guess how much to tighten the mounting screws, no risk of damaging the CPU with excessive pressure!
| Sturdy backplate with fixed walls
NM-i17xx kits offer a sturdy backplate with fixed walls that don't require any pre-work or pre-alignment. Thanks to the fixed walls, aligning the backplate and attaching it to your motherboard is hassle-free! |
Customized for LGA1700 (LGA17xx family)
To save costs, many manufacturers use cross-platform parts for both Intel and AMD, which can lead to compatibility issues. Noctua's SecuFirm2 mounting system for LGA1700 (LGA17xx family) is specially designed for this socket to ensure optimal compatibility and ease of installation.
| 90° reverse cooler installation
Installing the cooler in a 90° reverse orientation may be desired for airflow reasons or compatibility. Thanks to the square-hole pattern layout on the LGA1700 (LGA17xx family) platform, it's easily achievable with NM-i17xx kits if space and other components allow. |
Backward compatibility
Noctua CPU coolers are known for safe long-term investments that can be used across multiple generations of processors. Therefore, you can also upgrade coolers that are 8 years or older to the latest Intel processor platform using this mounting kit.
| Sustainability
Using a CPU cooler over multiple generations of platforms instead of buying a new cooler for each generation is not only economical, it also helps reduce unnecessary waste and save valuable resources. By upgrading instead of replacing your cooler, you actively contribute to a more sustainable Computer industry. |
