| Revew | Noctua NH-L12Sx77 77mm Low-Profile CPU CoolerThe Noctua NH-L12Sx77 is a low-profile air cooler built for compact systems where every millimetre counts. It is a slightly taller take on the well-known NH-L12S, and that extra height buys both stronger heat dissipation and more generous clearance around the socket. It is a strong choice for anyone assembling a small-volume PC who still expects efficient, quiet cooling. CoolingAt its core sits a heatsink with six heatpipes rather than the four found on the base model, and that difference translates into a greater ability to move heat off the processor, into the fins, and out into the airflow. Despite the compact footprint, the design keeps cooling performance high for such a low stature, letting you run a stable system inside a chassis that would never accommodate a full tower cooler. Fan & acousticsThe fan is mounted underneath the heatsink and pushes air upward through the fin stack. This bottom-fan layout was chosen to deliver the best acoustics, particularly in cases that have ventilation openings above the cooler, and it also helps evacuate warm air out of the chassis instead of trapping it inside. The result is quiet, refined operation even under load, in keeping with Noctua's reputation for low-noise cooling. Compatibility & installA height of just 77 mm makes this cooler suitable for popular Small Form Factor enclosures such as the Fractal Design Terra, SilverStone Milo ML12 and Louqe Raw S1. Compared with the NH-L12S, the added height leaves more comfortable room above tall RAM modules and over the motherboard's VRM heatsinks. Mounting relies on Noctua's dependable SecuFirm2 system and ships with the high-grade NT-H2 thermal compound, so the build is ready to go right after assembly.
