The Gigabyte GC-USB 3.2 GEN2X2 is an expansion card that adds a USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 Type-C port to a desktop computer without replacing the motherboard. It is based on the ASMedia ASM3242 controller and works on both Intel and AMD platforms.

According to the manufacturer, transfer speed reaches up to 20Gb/s, four times that of USB 3.0, and the port is backward compatible with USB 2.0, USB 3.0 and USB 3.1 devices. The card installs in a PCIe x4 slot and also fits x8 and x16 slots.
