The Gigabyte B550 EAGLE is a full-size ATX board for the AMD AM4 platform. It combines a multi-phase power stage, four DDR4 memory slots and a reinforced PCIe 4.0 x16 slot, aimed at a roomy desktop system with generous space for expansion.

Platform & chipset

The board is built on the AMD B550 chipset in the AM4 socket and supports AMD Ryzen 5000, 4000 and 3000 series processors. The full ATX form factor provides a large board area and good airflow inside a standard case. An EZ-Latch mechanism on the PCIe slots allows quick, easy release of expansion cards.

Memory & expansion

Four DIMM slots support DDR4 memory in dual-channel mode for steady bandwidth. Storage is served by two M.2 slots, one running PCIe 4.0 x1, alongside SATA3 connectors. The PCIe 4.0 x16 slot uses the PCIe UD design, reinforced to ten times the strength for a graphics card with improved heat dissipation.

Power, cooling & connectivity

Power delivery is arranged as a 10+3 phase digital VRM, supplying stable voltage to the CPU under load. The VRM Thermal Armor Advanced heatsink helps keep temperatures low. Connectivity includes GbE wired networking, an HDMI output for a display, and a set of USB 2.0, USB 3.2 and USB Type-C ports on the panel.
