The X870E AERO X3D WOOD is an ATX board for the AMD AM5 platform that blends a distinctive look built around real wood texture with high-performance components. Based on the X870E chipset, it targets builders who want careful styling alongside strong compute capability.

Platform & chipset

The board uses the AMD AM5 socket and supports Ryzen 9000, 8000 and 7000 series processors. Its X870E chipset is paired with X3D Turbo Mode 2.0, accelerated through artificial intelligence to push the performance of X3D-class chips. A DriverBIOS feature preinstalls the Wi-Fi driver so the system can reach the network on first boot, while the BIOS itself offers multiple themes and quick navigation.

Memory & expansion

Four DIMM slots handle dual-channel DDR5 memory, with support for AMD EXPO modules and overclock tuning up to 9000MT/s. For storage the layout includes four M.2 slots, one of them PCIe 5.0 x4, together with the M.2 EZ-Flex mechanism for heat dissipation and a patented flexible baseplate, plus EZ-Latch Click for screwless installation. A PCB Thermal Plate adds roughly a 14% thermal improvement and reinforces overall board stability.

Power, cooling & connectivity

The digital VRM is laid out in a 16+2+2 phase configuration and supported by VRM Thermal Armor Advanced and M.2 Thermal Guard for steady cooling under load. On networking, the board provides dual 5GbE LAN and Wi-Fi 7 with a directional high-gain antenna, including WIFI EZ-Plug for easy fitting. The rear panel carries HDMI and two USB4 Type-C ports with DP-Alt support, alongside USB 2.0 and USB 3.2.
