    Gigabyte B650 AORUS PRO AX Motherboard

    The Gigabyte B650 AORUS PRO AX is an ATX motherboard for the AM5 socket, built for AMD Ryzen 7000, 8000 and 9000 series processors. It is based on the AMD B650 chipset and supports DDR5 memory in four slots, up to 256GB and up to 8000 MT/s (OC) with AMD EXPO and XMP profiles.

    According to the manufacturer, the board uses a 16+2+1 digital VRM with 90A Smart Power Stages, fully covered MOSFET heatsinks and an 8 mm heatpipe. It offers three M.2 slots (one PCIe 5.0 x4), Intel 2.5GbE LAN, Wi-Fi 6E with Bluetooth, an integrated I/O shield and an internal header for a 20Gb/s front USB-C port.

    Key features

    • Stable power for Ryzen - A Twin 16+2+1 digital VRM with 90A Smart Power Stages and an 8-layer 2X Copper PCB deliver steady current even to high-end processors under full load.
    • Fast DDR5 memory - Four dual-channel DDR5 slots take up to 256GB at up to 8000 MT/s (OC). The board supports both AMD EXPO and XMP profiles, so full memory speed is easy to enable in the BIOS.
    • PCIe 5.0 storage - Three M.2 slots: one PCIe 5.0 x4 (with Ryzen 7000 and 9000 processors) and two PCIe 4.0 x4, with M.2 Thermal Guard heatsinks. Four SATA 6Gb/s ports and RAID 0, 1 and 10 are also supported.
    • Advanced cooling - Fully covered MOSFET heatsinks, an 8 mm heatpipe and 7 W/mK thermal pads keep temperatures down. Smart Fan 6 controls eight PWM/DC fan and pump headers.
    • Fast networking - Intel 2.5GbE LAN and a Wi-Fi 6E module working on the 2.4, 5 and 6GHz bands, with Bluetooth and an external AORUS antenna.
    • Easy building and updating - EZ-Latch mechanisms release the graphics card and M.2 drives without screws, the I/O shield is pre-installed, and the Q-Flash Plus button updates the BIOS even without a CPU, memory or graphics card.
