Gigabyte Z690 AORUS ELITE DDR4 Motherboard

The Gigabyte Z690 AORUS ELITE DDR4 is an ATX motherboard for the LGA1700 socket, built for 12th, 13th and 14th Gen Intel Core processors. It is based on the Intel Z690 chipset and works with DDR4 memory in four slots, up to 128GB and up to 5333 MHz (OC) with XMP profiles, so existing DDR4 modules can stay in use.

According to the manufacturer, the board uses a 16+1+2 digital VRM with 70A power stages, fully covered MOSFET heatsinks and a 6-layer PCB. It offers a PCIe 5.0 x16 slot, four PCIe 4.0 x4 M.2 slots, Realtek 2.5GbE LAN and a 20Gb/s rear USB-C port. This model has no built-in Wi-Fi.

• DDR4 memory - Four DDR4 slots with Ultra Durable memory armor take up to 128GB at up to 5333 MHz (OC) with XMP profiles in dual channel.
• PCIe 5.0 for graphics - An SMD PCIe 5.0 x16 slot with Ultra Durable armor, plus two x16-length PCIe 3.0 slots running at x4.
• Four M.2 slots - Four PCIe 4.0 x4 M.2 slots (one from the CPU and three from the chipset, one of them also SATA) with two enlarged Thermal Guards, plus six SATA 6Gb/s ports with RAID 0, 1, 5 and 10.
• Cooling and I/O - Fully covered MOSFET heatsinks, a 5 W/mK thermal pad and an integrated I/O shield. The rear panel has USB-C 3.2 Gen 2x2, HDMI and DisplayPort outputs, 2.5GbE LAN and optical S/PDIF.
• Audio and lighting - AMP-UP audio with a Realtek ALC1220-VB codec and WIMA capacitors, and RGB Fusion 2.0 lighting with two ARGB and two RGB headers. The Q-Flash Plus button updates the BIOS without installing a CPU or memory.
