Gigabyte Z790 AORUS ELITE AX Motherboard

The Gigabyte Z790 AORUS ELITE AX is an ATX motherboard for the LGA1700 socket, built for 12th, 13th and 14th Gen Intel Core processors. It is based on the Intel Z790 chipset and supports DDR5 memory in four slots, up to 256GB and up to 7600 MT/s (OC) with XMP profiles.

According to the manufacturer, the board uses a Twin 16+1+2 digital VRM with 70A Smart Power Stages, fully covered MOSFET heatsinks and a 6 mm heatpipe. It offers a PCIe 5.0 x16 graphics slot, four PCIe 4.0 x4 M.2 slots, 2.5GbE LAN, Wi-Fi 6E with Bluetooth 5.3, a 20Gb/s rear USB-C port and an integrated I/O shield.

Stable power for Intel CPUs - A Twin 16+1+2 digital VRM with 70A Smart Power Stages and a 6-layer 2X Copper PCB deliver steady current even to high-end processors under full load.
Fast DDR5 memory - Four dual-channel DDR5 slots take up to 256GB (64GB per module) at up to 7600 MT/s (OC). XMP support makes it easy to enable full memory speed in the BIOS.
Four M.2 slots - Four PCIe 4.0 x4 M.2 slots: one with a double-sided M.2 Thermal Guard III heatsink and three with Enlarged Thermal Guard. Six SATA 6Gb/s ports and RAID 0, 1, 5 and 10 are also supported.
PCIe 5.0 for graphics - An armored PCIe 5.0 x16 slot is wired directly to the CPU, joined by two PCIe 4.0 slots running at x4. PCIe EZ-Latch releases the graphics card with one press.
Advanced cooling - Heatsinks covering all MOSFETs, a 6 mm heatpipe and 7.5 W/mK thermal pads keep the VRM cool. Smart Fan 6 controls six fan and pump headers.
Connectivity and easy building - Realtek 2.5GbE, Wi-Fi 6E with Bluetooth 5.3, a 20Gb/s rear USB-C port and an internal header for front USB-C. M.2 EZ-Latch Plus installs M.2 drives without screws, and the Q-Flash Plus button updates the BIOS even without a CPU, memory or graphics card.
