The Intel Core i9-12900KS is a 12th Gen Intel Core desktop processor (code name Alder Lake), a Special Edition with an unlocked multiplier for overclocking. It has 16 cores, 8 performance cores and 8 efficient cores, 24 threads and a Turbo clock of up to 5.5GHz.

The processor fits the LGA1700 socket, supports DDR5 memory up to 4800MT/s or DDR4 up to 3200MT/s along with PCIe 5.0 and 4.0, and includes Intel UHD 770 integrated graphics. This is the Tray version, the processor alone without a box and without a cooler, so a cooler must be purchased separately.

• Special Edition, unlocked - A base power of 150W and a maximum turbo power of 241W. The processor ships without a cooler and needs a separate cooling solution.
