Processor Intel Xeon Platinum 8360Y LGA4189

Intel Xeon Platinum 8360Y Processor

The Intel Xeon Platinum 8360Y is a server processor from the 3rd Gen Intel Xeon Scalable family, built on the Ice Lake architecture. It has 36 cores and 72 threads, a 2.40GHz base clock and a boost clock of up to 3.50GHz, and suits virtualization, databases and heavily threaded workloads.

The processor fits the LGA4189 socket on server motherboards with up to two CPUs, and supports eight-channel DDR4-3200 memory and PCIe 4.0. This model is supplied in Tray packaging, without a cooler.

Key features

• 36 cores and 72 threads - The Ice Lake architecture on a 10nm process with Hyper-Threading suits virtualization, databases and heavy server workloads.
• Boost clock of up to 3.50GHz - A 2.40GHz base clock and Turbo Boost 2.0 raise the frequency under load, while 54MB of L3 cache shortens data access.
• Eight-channel DDR4 memory - Supports ECC DDR4-3200 memory of up to 6TB per socket, as well as Intel Optane Persistent Memory.
• PCIe 4.0 with 64 lanes - Up to 64 PCIe 4.0 lanes for network cards, drives and expansion cards, and three UPI links at 11.2GT/s for connecting processors.
• AVX-512 and AI acceleration - AVX-512 instructions with two FMA units and Intel DL Boost accelerate artificial intelligence and compute workloads.
• Hardware-level security - Supports Intel SGX, Total Memory Encryption, Platform Firmware Resilience and Trusted Execution Technology.
