Processor AMD Ryzen 5 8500G AM5 Box

AMD Ryzen 5 8500G with Integrated Radeon Graphics for AM5

The AMD Ryzen 5 8500G is a six-core APU (combined CPU and graphics) for the AM5 socket, based on the Zen 4 architecture and featuring integrated AMD Radeon 740M graphics. It is aimed at compact, office and home systems that want decent graphics for light gaming and media without a discrete card. A Wraith Stealth cooler is included in the box.

CPU & integrated graphics

The processor packs six cores and 12 threads at a 3.5GHz base and up to 5.0GHz boost, alongside integrated Radeon 740M graphics. The combination provides a smooth experience in everyday tasks, browsing and viewing, and even enables light gaming at lower resolutions without a separate graphics card.

A 65W TDP keeps the system cool and efficient, ideal for small, quiet PCs.

AM5 platform & memory

The processor uses the AM5 socket and supports fast DDR5 memory and PCIe. Using fast DDR5 memory especially helps the integrated graphics, since it relies on system memory. The platform is ready for future upgrades.

Who it's for

The 8500G is an excellent choice for a basic, office or compact multimedia system, or as a temporary solution until a graphics card is purchased. It saves the cost of a separate card, includes a cooler in the box, and offers a convenient upgrade path later.
