The AMD Ryzen 7 8700F is an eight-core AM5 processor built on the Zen 4 architecture and aimed at builders who pair it with a dedicated graphics card. It is the no-integrated-graphics member of the 8000 family, which makes it especially well suited to gaming systems where graphics are already handled by a discrete card. A Wraith Stealth cooler is included in the box.

Cores & performance

The processor packs eight cores and 16 threads at a 4.1GHz base and up to 5.0GHz boost, delivering strong performance in gaming and multi-core tasks such as video editing, streaming and compilation. The high base clock contributes to snappy responsiveness even in everyday workloads.

A 65W TDP allows simple cooling and quiet operation together with good energy efficiency.

AM5 platform & memory

The processor uses the AM5 socket and supports fast DDR5 memory and PCIe for graphics cards and NVMe drives. The AM5 platform is built for longevity and allows future upgrades without changing the motherboard.

No integrated graphics - made for gamers

Unlike the G models in the 8000 family, the 8700F has no integrated graphics and therefore requires a discrete graphics card.
