Processor AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D

The AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D is a desktop processor with 8 cores and 16 threads on the Zen 5 architecture (Granite Ridge) for socket AM5. Thanks to 2nd gen AMD 3D V-Cache it has 96MB of L3 cache, which lowers latency and noticeably raises frame rates in games.

It is aimed first of all at gamers who want the most from their graphics card, but it also handles streaming, editing and multitasking well. Base clock is 4.7GHz, boost up to 5.2GHz, with a 120W TDP.

The 9800X3D is unlocked for overclocking and supports Precision Boost Overdrive, Curve Optimizer and AMD EXPO for DDR5 memory. It offers PCIe 5.0 and integrated AMD Radeon graphics; AMD recommends a liquid cooler for optimal performance. No cooler is included.

Key features

• 2nd gen AMD 3D V-Cache - 96MB of stacked L3 cache cuts data access latency, which translates into higher and steadier frame rates in games.
• Zen 5 architecture - 8 cores and 16 threads on Zen 5 cores built on TSMC 4nm FinFET, with up to 5.2GHz boost and a 4.7GHz base clock.
• Unlocked for overclocking - An unlocked multiplier with Precision Boost Overdrive, Curve Optimizer and AMD Ryzen Master support, to tune performance to your cooling.
• AM5 platform with DDR5 and PCIe 5.0 - Dual-channel DDR5 up to 256GB with AMD EXPO, PCIe 5.0 with 24 usable lanes, and support for A620, B650, B650E, X670, X670E, B840, B850, X870 and X870E chipsets.
• Integrated AMD Radeon graphics - Two graphics cores at 2200MHz let the PC boot and display an image even without a graphics card, including USB Type-C DisplayPort Alt Mode on supporting boards.
