AMD Ryzen Threadripper 9970X 32-core Tray Processor

The AMD Ryzen Threadripper 9970X is a workstation and high-end desktop (HEDT) processor from the Ryzen Threadripper 9000 Series, built on the Zen 5 architecture. It has 32 cores and 64 threads, a 4GHz base clock and a boost clock of up to 5.4GHz, and suits heavy workloads such as rendering, video editing and software development.

The processor fits the sTR5 socket and the TRX50 chipset, supports 4-channel DDR5 RDIMM memory with ECC at up to 6400MT/s and PCIe 5.0, and has no integrated graphics, so a separate graphics card is required. This model is supplied in Tray packaging, without a cooler.

• PCIe 5.0 and NVMe support - 92 PCIe 5.0 lanes (88 of them usable), NVMe boot support and RAID 0, 1, 5 and 10 on supported motherboards.
• Unlocked for overclocking - The processor is unlocked for overclocking and supports AMD EXPO, Precision Boost Overdrive and Curve Optimizer for tuning performance and memory.
• No integrated graphics and no cooler - The processor has no graphics unit, so a separate graphics card is required. The Tray version ships without a cooler, so choose a cooling solution suited to the 350W default TDP.
