Processor Intel Core i7 12700 LGA1700

Intel Core i7 12700 Processor

The Intel Core i7 12700 is a 12th Gen Intel (Alder Lake) desktop processor with a hybrid architecture: 8 Performance-cores and 4 Efficient-cores together deliver 20 threads, a turbo frequency of up to 4.9GHz and 25MB of Intel Smart Cache. It suits workstations, powerful office PCs and gaming PCs paired with a graphics card.

Unlike the F model, it includes integrated Intel UHD Graphics 770 with support for up to 4 displays, so the PC can run without a separate graphics card. The processor fits the LGA1700 socket and supports DDR5 or DDR4 memory and PCI Express 5.0, with 65W processor base power and 180W maximum turbo power.

Key features

• Hybrid architecture - 8 Performance-cores up to 4.8GHz and 4 Efficient-cores up to 3.6GHz. Intel Thread Director helps the operating system send each task to the right core.
• Intel UHD Graphics 770 - Integrated graphics with 32 execution units and up to 1.5GHz, support for up to 4 displays at up to 7680x4320 at 60Hz over DisplayPort or 4096x2160 at 60Hz over HDMI, and DirectX 12 support.
• DDR5 or DDR4 - Support for DDR5 up to 4800 MT/s or DDR4 up to 3200 MT/s in two channels, with up to 128GB of memory and up to 76.8GB/s of bandwidth.
• PCI Express 5.0 - 20 PCIe 5.0 and 4.0 lanes from the processor, in 1x16+4 or 2x8+4 configurations, for a graphics card and a fast NVMe drive.
• Power efficient - 65W processor base power and 180W maximum turbo power suit desktops of many sizes, including relatively compact cases.
