D-Link NetDefend DFL-860 Anti-Virus License 12-months

The DFL-860-AV-12 license enables and updates the anti-virus engine of the D-Link NetDefend DFL-860 firewall for 12 months. It is made for the DFL-860 only and cannot be activated on any other model.

The engine scans traffic as it passes through the firewall, and virus signatures are updated from D-Link servers, so the network is protected against viruses, spyware, worms and trojans.

Key features

• Anti-virus engine in the firewall - A stream-based scanning engine scans packets as they pass, without storing whole files in memory, so there is no file size limit.
• Signatures from Kaspersky Labs - A database of more than 2,000 signatures from Kaspersky Labs that covers Wild List threats and thousands of operating system and application exploits.
• Automatic updates - Signatures are updated every hour from D-Link servers around the world, and emergency updates are released for new threats.
• Built-in acceleration engine - According to D-Link, the anti-virus acceleration engine gives higher throughput than other anti-virus capable firewalls.
• 12-month license - A single license for 12 months. To receive updates the firewall has to be registered on the D-Link portal, which also shows the model, serial number and service expiration date.
