External Hard Drive Toshiba Canvio Ready 1TB

The Toshiba Canvio Ready is a 1TB 2.5-inch portable hard drive for storing and backing up documents, photos, movies and games. It comes formatted NTFS for Windows, so you plug it in and start copying files with no installation or setup.

It connects over USB 3.2 Gen 1 at up to 5Gbit/s with backward compatibility to USB 2.0, and takes all its power from the USB cable, with no separate power adapter. At 78 x 109 x 14 mm and about 149 grams it fits in any laptop bag.

To keep data safe on the move, Toshiba built in a ramp load design that parks the head away from the platter when idle, and a shock sensor that cuts power in the event of physical stress. The two-tone matte and gloss black finish gives it a clean, stylish look.

Key features

• Plug and play - Pre-formatted for Windows and ready to use right away: connect it to any USB computer and start saving files, no software needed.
• Ramp load and shock sensor - The ramp load design prevents damage to the disk while mobile, and the shock sensor cuts power to protect data in case of a bump or drop.

• USB 3.2 Gen 1 up to 5Gbit/s - A fast interface for copying movies, photos and backups, backward compatible with USB 2.0 ports on older computers.
• USB bus powered - The drive draws up to 900mA from the USB port and needs no external power adapter or outlet.

• Compact and portable - 78 x 109 x 14 mm and about 149 g, in a two-tone matte and gloss finish that is easy to hold and carry.
• Works with Mac too - The drive can be re-formatted to HFS+ for full macOS compatibility.
