SanDisk Portable SSD V3 2TB External SSD

The SanDisk Portable SSD (V3) is a small, light external SSD for everyday use: moving documents, photos and videos and backing up files. The 2TB model connects over USB-C using USB 3.2 Gen 2 (10Gb/s) and reaches read speeds of up to 1,000MB/s.

The drive has no moving parts and is protected against drops from up to 2 meters. It weighs only about 33g and works with Windows and Mac computers as well as phones and tablets with a USB-C port.

Key features

• Read speeds up to 1,000MB/s - The USB 3.2 Gen 2 (10Gb/s) interface transfers files much faster than a typical external hard drive. Write speed is lower than read speed, and a USB 3.2 Gen 2 or faster port is required for full speed.
• Drop resistant - With no moving parts and protection against drops of up to 2 meters, the drive is suited to carrying in a bag, a pocket or together with a laptop.
• Small and light - Measures about 85 x 45 x 10mm and weighs about 33.2g. A fixed loop on the body lets you attach it to a bag or a key ring.
• Wide compatibility - Works with Windows 10 and later, macOS 13 and later, Android 13 and later, and iOS and iPadOS 15 and later, so photos and videos can be moved from a phone straight to the drive.
• 2TB capacity - Room for large photo and video libraries, work documents and laptop backups.
