Kingston IronKey Vault Privacy 80ES USB-C 7.68TB Encrypted External SSD with Touch Screen, Blue

The Kingston IronKey Vault Privacy 80ES is a hardware-encrypted external SSD that is unlocked with a color touch screen built into the drive. It is designed to protect business data, client documents and high-resolution photos and videos, and it works independently of the operating system.

The 7.68TB model uses FIPS 197 certified XTS-AES 256-bit encryption and a Common Criteria EAL5+ certified secure microprocessor. It connects over USB 3.2 Gen 1 and includes both a USB Type-C to Type-C cable and a Type-C to Type-A cable.

Key features

• Touch screen unlocking - A PIN or passphrase is entered on the color touch screen of the drive itself, much like unlocking a smartphone. The entered password can be shown and the key layout can be randomized.
• FIPS 197 hardware encryption - XTS-AES 256-bit hardware encryption and a Common Criteria EAL5+ certified secure microprocessor. The drive is TAA compliant.
• Admin and User passwords - Separate Admin and User passwords in numeric PIN or passphrase modes of 6 to 64 characters. If the User password is forgotten, the Admin can restore access.
• Protection against attacks and ransomware - Brute Force attack protection and BadUSB protection with digitally signed firmware. The drive is crypto-erased by default after 15 incorrect attempts in a row, adjustable from 10 to 30.
• Two Read-Only modes - Two levels of write protection defend the data against compromised systems and malware, which makes the drive suited to regular backups.
