Internal Hard Drive Western Digital Purple 4TB WD43PURZ 3.5" 4TB

Western Digital Purple 4TB Internal Hard Drive

WD Purple is a 3.5-inch hard drive designed specifically for always-on video surveillance systems such as NVRs and DVRs. Model WD43PURZ offers 4TB of capacity, 256MB of cache, a SATA 6Gb/s interface and CMR recording, and is built to withstand the heat fluctuations and vibration inside a recorder.

Exclusive WD AllFrame technology helps reduce frame loss and improve video recording and playback. The drive supports up to 64 HD cameras and systems with up to 16 drive bays, and is rated for workloads of up to 180TB per year and 1,000,000 hours MTBF.

Key features

• WD AllFrame technology - Firmware optimized for write-intensive, low bit-rate, high stream-count surveillance workloads helps reduce dropped frames and improves recording and playback.
• Up to 64 HD cameras - The drive supports up to 64 single-stream HD cameras (1080p, H.265, 25fps), giving you room to expand your security system later.
• Built for 24x7 operation - A workload rating of up to 180TB per year, up to three times that of desktop drives, and a 1,000,000 hour MTBF. Tarnish-resistant components protect the drive in warm environments.
• Ready for multi-bay systems - Rotational vibration (RV) sensors and RAID error recovery control help maintain performance and reduce failures in recorders with up to 16 drive bays.
• Wide compatibility - WD Purple is tested with a wide range of enclosures, chipsets and DVR and NVR systems, so you can easily add capacity to an existing setup.
