Western Digital Gold WD142KRYZ 14TB 3.5-inch Internal Hard Drive

The Western Digital Gold WD142KRYZ is a 14TB internal 3.5-inch hard drive from the WD Gold series, Western Digital's enterprise drive line. It uses a SATA 6Gb/s interface and spins at 7200 RPM and a 512MB cache. It is a helium-filled (HelioSeal) design.

The drive is intended for servers, professional workstations, RAID arrays and small to mid-size data centers, as well as video archives and any workload that needs round-the-clock operation. Real-time vibration monitoring and correction helps maintain performance in enclosures with many drives.

According to the manufacturer, the drive is rated for workloads of up to 550TB per year and an MTBF of 2,500,000 hours, with a sustained transfer rate of up to 262MB/s. This combination suits anyone looking for a reliable enterprise drive for heavy workloads.
