| Revew | Crucial P310 500GB - A Fast NVMe Gen4 Drive in M.2 Form FactorThe Crucial P310 in 500GB is an internal NVMe SSD that taps the PCIe Gen4 interface to deliver high performance in a compact M.2 body. It suits laptop and desktop upgrades that call for fast startup, quick application loading and efficient file transfers. Capacity & interfaceThe drive offers 500GB of capacity and runs on a PCI-Express 4.0 x4 interface to the NVMe 1.4 standard, a very fast connection that plugs straight into the motherboard through an M.2 slot. This interface takes advantage of Gen4's wide bandwidth and delivers a high access rate compared with SATA-based drives. PerformanceThe drive reaches read speeds of up to 7,100 MB/s and write speeds of up to 6,000 MB/s. These speeds translate into fast system startup, opening heavy applications in a short time and copying large files quickly, making it a solid choice for a noticeable performance upgrade. Form factor & useThe drive is built in the M.2 2280 layout and based on 3D NAND memory. The compact form factor connects directly to the motherboard without cables, saves space inside the case and fits both supporting laptops and desktops. It is a fast storage solution for users, content creators and gamers seeking high responsiveness.
