Crucial E100 SSD

The Crucial E100 is an M.2 2280 SSD with a PCIe Gen4 x4 NVMe interface, designed as an affordable upgrade for laptops and desktops. At 1TB it reaches sequential reads of up to 5,000MB/s and writes of up to 4,500MB/s.

If you are moving from a mechanical hard drive or a SATA drive, the difference shows right away in boot times, application launches and file copies. The drive is fully solid state with no moving parts, and Crucial offers Storage Executive software for drive management along with installation and migration guides.

Key features

• Gen4 speed - Sequential reads of up to 5,000MB/s and writes of up to 4,500MB/s, almost 9 times the read speed of a SATA drive such as the Crucial MX500 (560MB/s).
• Upgrade from a hard drive - Compared to a 7200 RPM hard drive averaging about 150MB/s, the difference in load times and file copies is huge.
• M.2 2280 form factor - A small card that plugs straight into the M.2 slot on the motherboard or in the laptop, with no cables.
• Solid state reliability - No moving parts and an endurance rating of 80TB written (TBW), suitable for everyday home and office use.
• Management and installation - Crucial Storage Executive software for drive monitoring and firmware updates, plus Crucial guides for installation and cloning your system to the new drive.
