Crucial T705 2TB PCIe Gen5 NVMe M.2 SSD

The Crucial T705 is Crucial's fastest PCIe Gen5 SSD, built for gaming, video editing and work with heavy files. It is based on Micron 232-layer NAND and reaches sequential reads of up to 14,500MB/s and writes of up to 12,700MB/s.

This is the 2TB non-heatsink version, designed to sit under the motherboard's M.2 heatsink or to be paired with a separate heatsink. The drive supports Microsoft DirectStorage and is backward compatible with PCIe Gen4 and Gen3 systems, so it can also go into a previous-generation PC.

Key features

• PCIe Gen5 performance - Sequential reads of up to 14,500MB/s and writes of up to 12,700MB/s, plus random performance of up to 1,550K IOPS read and 1,800K IOPS write. Game installs, project copies and large file loads take noticeably less time.
• 232-layer NAND - The drive is built on advanced Micron 232-layer NAND. According to Crucial it outperforms the fastest SSDs of the previous generation without greatly increasing power consumption.
• DirectStorage support - In games that support Microsoft DirectStorage, with a compatible graphics card, Crucial quotes up to 15% faster AAA game loading compared to a Gen5 SSD without DirectStorage.
• Non-heatsink version - The CT2000T705SSD3 ships without a heatsink and suits motherboards with a built-in M.2 heatsink. For optimal performance install it with the motherboard heatsink or an alternative heatsink, and do not remove the copper-clad label on the drive.
• Broad compatibility - The drive works with Intel Core 13th and 14th Gen and AMD Ryzen 7000 series processors, and is backward compatible with PCIe Gen4 and Gen3 systems at the speed of the existing interface.
• High write endurance - An endurance rating of 1,200TB written (TBW) at 2TB suits the heavy workloads of content creators and gamers.
