The Kingston NV3 1TB is a PCIe 4.0 x4 NVMe SSD in the M.2 2280 form factor, powered by a Gen 4x4 NVMe controller. It reaches sequential reads of up to 6,000 MB/s and sequential writes of up to 4,000 MB/s, several times faster than a SATA drive.

Kingston positions the NV3 as a fast, cost-effective upgrade for laptops and desktops: the operating system boots quickly, applications and games open without waiting, and 1TB holds documents, photos, video and games.

The drive is single-sided and thin (22 x 80 x 2.3 mm), so it also fits thin laptops and small-form-factor PCs. Kingston specifies lower power consumption and heat, 320 TBW endurance and an MTBF of 2 million hours.
