The Samsung 990 PRO with Heatsink is a PCIe 4.0 x4 NVMe drive with a built-in heatsink for desktop PCs, workstations and the PlayStation 5. At 4TB it reaches sequential reads of up to 7,450MB/s, sequential writes of up to 6,900MB/s and up to 1,600K random read IOPS.

The slim heatsink disperses heat to prevent performance drops under load, and its size fits the PS5 and PCs that meet the PCI-SIG D8 standard. The heatsink carries RGB lighting that you can set in Samsung Magician. The drive combines V-NAND TLC, a Samsung controller and a 4GB LPDDR4 cache.
