SSD Disk Western Digital Green 2.5 SATA 500GB WDS500G5G0A-00CPT0 2.5"

Western Digital Green 2.5 SATA 500GB SSD

The 500GB WD Green SATA SSD is a 2.5-inch, 7 mm internal drive that fits most laptops and desktops with a SATA connection. It is built on SanDisk 3D NAND and reaches sequential read speeds of up to 545MB/s.

Replacing a mechanical hard drive with an SSD shortens boot times and application loading. With no moving parts, the drive is more resistant to shocks and accidental bumps. Acronis True Image for SanDisk is available as a free download for migrating your system from the old drive.

Key features

• Reads up to 545MB/s - The SATA III 6Gb/s interface gives faster operating system boots and quicker opening of applications and files than a mechanical hard drive.
• 2.5-inch, 7 mm - Measuring 100.5 x 69.85 x 7 mm and weighing 32.7 g, the drive fits a standard bay in a laptop or desktop. It is backward compatible with SATA II and SATA I.
• Shock resistant - No moving parts, 1,500G shock resistance at 0.5 ms and an MTTF of up to 2 million hours according to the manufacturer.
• Low power consumption - 56mW average active power and 9mW in DEVSLP mode, figures that also suit laptops.
• Migration and monitoring software - Acronis True Image for SanDisk for moving your system from the old drive and SanDisk Dashboard for monitoring and updating the drive, both downloadable from the manufacturer's site.
