Storage Server QNAP TS-233 2-Bay TS-233

QNAP TS-233 2-Bay NAS

The QNAP TS-233 is a compact two-bay NAS for home and small office use. It works as a private cloud for backing up computers and phones, sharing files and storing photo, music and video collections.

It runs on a quad-core 2.0GHz ARM Cortex-A55 processor with a built-in NPU, 2GB of memory, a Gigabit Ethernet port and the QTS 5 operating system. Drives are sold separately and install without tools.

Key features

• Quad-core processor with NPU - A 64-bit 2.0GHz ARM Cortex-A55 processor and 2GB of memory, with hardware-accelerated 256-bit AES encryption. The built-in NPU speeds up face and object recognition in the QuMagie app.
• Two tool-less drive bays - Supports two 3.5-inch or 2.5-inch SATA 6Gb/s drives, HDD or SSD, in Single, JBOD, RAID 0 and RAID 1 modes. Drives can be swapped for larger ones to grow the storage capacity.
• Backup for every device - Back up Windows PCs with NetBak Replicator and Macs with Time Machine, auto-upload photos from your phone, and back up to the cloud or a remote server with Hybrid Backup Sync.
• Snapshots against ransomware - Snapshots record the state of the system and data so files can be restored to an earlier point in time after accidental deletion or a ransomware attack.
• Home multimedia center - Organize photos, music and video, and stream to DLNA devices and TVs via Chromecast, Apple TV, Roku and Amazon Fire TV.
• One Touch Copy - A front USB 3.2 Gen 1 port and a One Touch Copy button copy content from an external drive or USB stick straight to the NAS.
