| Revew | TerraMaster F4-212 4-Bay NAS 2GB F4-212-2GThe TerraMaster F4-212 is a 4-bay network attached storage (NAS) device for backing up home and small office computers and keeping a shared media library. It runs on a Realtek RTD1619B processor with four ARM Cortex-A55 cores at 1.7GHz and a hardware encryption engine, with 2GB of DDR4 memory. Each bay takes a drive of up to 22TB, for up to 88TB in total. Push-lock trays allow tool-free drive installation, and the TOS operating system includes TRAID, snapshots, cloud and USB backup, Docker and media servers such as Plex and Emby.
Key features- 4 bays, up to 88TB - Supports 3.5-inch and 2.5-inch SATA hard drives and 2.5-inch SATA SSDs with hot swap. Each bay takes a drive of up to 22TB.
- Quad-core ARM processor - Realtek RTD1619B with Cortex-A55 cores at 1.7GHz, a hardware encryption engine and 2GB of DDR4 memory. 4K hardware video decoding for media streaming.
- Tool-free drive installation - Push-lock trays lock automatically when you insert a drive, and installation takes less than 10 seconds.
- TRAID and RAID - TerraMaster TRAID sets up the disk array automatically and allows capacity expansion. Single, JBOD, RAID 0, 1, 5 and 6 are also supported, and the Btrfs file system with snapshots protects against ransomware.
- Backup and media - Time Machine, CloudSync to cloud services, Duple Backup to another server, USB backup, Plex, Emby, Terra Photos with face recognition and Docker Manager.
- Quiet and efficient - A 120 mm fan with a 21 dB(A) noise level, a 72W power supply, and 33.2W in operation or 12.4W in hibernation with four drives.
