Gigabyte VISION DRIVE 1TB External SSD

The Gigabyte VISION DRIVE 1TB (GP-VSD1TB) is an external SSD with a USB-C connection using the 20Gbps USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 interface, delivering sequential read and write speeds of up to 2,000MB/s, 4 times faster than a USB 3.0 SSD. It is aimed at IT professionals and content creators who work with huge files, and uses 3D TLC NAND with a 1GB DDR cache.

The drive is backward compatible with legacy USB ports, uses nanocarbon coated aluminium heat spreaders and passed the MIL-STD-810G 516.6 military-grade shock test, proving it can withstand an accidental drop from up to 1.22 m. A Gigabyte carrying bag is included in the box.

Key features

• USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 up to 2,000MB/s - Connected to a USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 port, the drive reaches sequential reads and writes of up to 2,000MB/s and greatly shortens copying of video files, backups and large projects.
• Advanced cooling - Heat sources are covered by standalone nanocarbon coated aluminium heatsinks and high conductivity thermal pads, while venting holes and rubber feet keep hot air from building up inside the housing.
• Shock resistance - The drive passed the MIL-STD-810G 516.6 test and withstands an accidental drop from up to 1.22 m during handling or transport.
• 3D TLC with DDR cache - 3D TLC NAND and a dedicated 1GB DDR cache keep performance steady even in heavy workloads with large files.
• Portable and practical - Measures 115 x 72 x 20 mm, has rubber feet and comes with a Gigabyte carrying bag in the box.
