| Revew | iStorage datAshur PRO 32GB Encrypted USB Flash DriveThe iStorage datAshur PRO is a USB 3.2 encrypted flash drive in an aluminium housing, built to protect sensitive data even if the drive is lost or stolen. You unlock it with a PIN typed on the built-in keypad, so no software or driver is needed and it works with any computer. This model has a capacity of 32GB. The drive is validated to FIPS 140-2 Level 3, NLNCSA DEP-V and NATO Restricted level, and it has a design that shows any attempt to open it. It suits organizations and private users who need to meet data protection rules such as GDPR and HIPAA.
Key features- Full hardware encryption - AES-XTS 256-bit full disk encryption is performed in hardware, without software. When the drive is unplugged, all data stays encrypted.
- PIN authentication - A PIN of 7 to 15 digits is entered on the polymer coated alphanumeric keypad. You can set separate user and admin PINs and switch on a read-only mode.
- Government validations - The drive is FIPS 140-2 Level 3 validated (certificate number 2688), NLNCSA DEP-V validated and certified to NATO Restricted level. Its components are covered in epoxy resin and the design reveals any attempt to open it.
- Brute force defence - After 10 wrong user PIN entries in a row the user PIN is deleted and the drive can be opened only with the admin PIN. 10 wrong admin PIN entries erase all data. An auto-lock can be set for 1 to 99 minutes of inactivity.
- IP57 protection - The aluminium housing survives immersion in 1 m of water for 30 minutes, as well as dust, dirt and sand.
- Works with any USB device - You can connect it to computers, tablets, smartphones, printers and CCTV cameras. It is compatible with Windows, macOS, Linux, Android, Chrome and embedded systems, and an operating system can be booted from it.
